An incredible golden glow paints the Big Sur coast in heavenly light at sunset. When I arrived at this scene the entire sky was covered in gray clouds that created a dreary landscape. I noticed a slight gap on the horizon and decided to wait to see what would happen. An hour and a half later a burst of light stuck the California coast and western sky. The light was almost instant and within thirty seconds it had disappeared leaving a fond memory, a lesson about patients and this photograph of the spectacular display. © Mike Wardynski
