Westbrook Modern has been selling artwork since 2004. The gallery was purchased in 2004 as a complete gallery and transitioned into a gallery of modern art in 2007. The focus of the gallery is placing artwork in collections that they believe will “stand the test of time.” They vet every artist and piece of artwork that they take into their gallery.
In addition to their brick-and-mortar location in Carmel, they also have an online gallery that offers “blue chip” works by artists such as Andy Warhol, Pierre Renoir, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Fernando Botero, and an extensive variety of contemporary “blue chip” artists.
Rather than focus upon a specific genre or period, the two markets that Westbrook Modern pursues must be investment quality artworks by known artists to all of their collectors: both those who are local and those from around the world.
Westbrook Modern also offers consignment and appraisal service at the requests of owners who want to market their collections, but do not want the uncertainty and aggravation of working with auctions or independent brokers. They then discretely offer these works directly to an international array of collectors who have specifically requested artwork from the gallery.
