Iceland Photography Tour
What To Expect
This is a small group photography workshop because it is the firm belief of Wardynski Photo Workshops that the act of photographing is just as important as the photograph itself. This workshop is limited to a maximum of 6 participants to ensure workshop quality and to make sure that each participant has a good space for their camera at every single shooting location.
The top priorities of this workshop are good photos and fun. You’re going to have a blast while capturing some of the most incredible landscapes in the world. We will pull some late nights when the light is good but we’ll also make time for rest in the middle of the day whenever possible.
You will be guided by a professional photography instructor who is passionate about photography and the environment.
There is relatively little hiking on this workshop but participants should be comfortable walking on trails and over uneven surfaces. The furthest distance that we walk will be about .6 miles one way with many shoots only a few hundred yards from the parking area.

Summer Iceland Photography Workshop
Photographing Icelandic Horses
The Icelandic horses are some of the most beautiful and unique horses in the world. We will take time to photograph them along the side of the road multiple times throughout the workshop. We’ll also have the opportunity to photograph them in a semi-controlled environment during a coordinated photoshoot.

Iceland Photography Workshop 5 Star Review
Who This Workshop Is For
This workshop is open to people of all photographic skill levels. Beginner to advanced photographers will get a lot of value out of the trip. The workshop will primarily focus on landscape photography but we'll have some great opportunities to photograph wild puffins and possibly an arctic fox or two if we're lucky.
Having a basic understanding of your camera is ideal but not required. Contact me for a private virtual intro to photography course if needed.

Iceland landscape photography workshop
• What is the couples rate? The couples rate is $7,550 per person. The package is available for those who want to share a room and bed.
• Is it possible to share a room with another workshop participant who is not my partner? The workshop is designed in a way that everyone participant get's their own room. A few of the locations that we stay at only have one bed per room. If there are enough rooms available at these locations, I'd be more than happy to offer a special rate for you and the person you'd like to split a room with. Contact me to inquire about this sort of arrangement as soon as possible because rooms tend to sell out quickly in Iceland.
• Will we be staying out for the midnight sun? Most defiantly! The main goal of this photography tour is to capture incredible images and the best light is typically between sunset and sunrise. We will stay up late to capture the best light and make time for sleeping in the middle of the day. (You sleep schedule in Iceland will not be too far off from your normal sleep schedule if you are traveling from the U.S.)
• What will the workshop primarily focus on? We’ll mostly be photographing landscapes but there will be a good opportunity for puffins and we'll most certainly be shooting Icelandic horses as well.
• Can I bring my drone on the workshop? Yes, you can bring a drone but drones are not allowed in a lot of the locations and you will need to stay out of other people’s shots.

• What lenses should I bring to Iceland? Ultra-wide, mid-range and telephoto lenses are recommended for Iceland. We will be shooting a wide verity of subjects and locations. Workshop participant are eligible for a 15% discount from LensRentals.com
• I saw a workshop cheaper than this one, why is yours more expensive? Cheap workshops are cheap for a reason. They are skimping somewhere. Most cheap workshop are either camping or in dormitory style lodging with shared bathrooms. Every place that we stay at on this workshop will have private bathrooms. Furthermore, this is a small group workshop so you are paying for a better experience away from a large photography crowd where people have a tendency to get into each other's shots.
• Will the volcano affect the workshop? While nothing is for certain, the odds of the volcano affecting our trip is relatively low. Anything is possible though, so cancel for any reason trip insurance is strongly recommended.
• Will we be photographing the eruption if there’s one going on during the workshop? If the area near the volcano is deemed safe by local officials and there are good photo opportunities, we will make our best attempt to photograph the eruption at the beginning or end of the trip.
• Where can I see more examples of what we'll be shooting? You can view my Iceland photo gallery here.
