There's no shortage of photography workshops these day. So how does one choose? For starters you could read my "How to choose a photography workshop article". In this article I breakdown the different aspects of photography workshops and things to look out for. Secondly, I have compiled a list of high quality photography workshops organized by date. All of the workshop opportator listed in this article are highly rated with a positive reputation. I personally know many of the operators on this list. For those that I do not know, I picked for one of two reasons. They were either recommended to me or I think that they have a unique offering.

Yellowstone in Winter Photography Workshop | January 9th-11th & 17th - 18th | Mike Wardynski Photo

There's nothing quite like photographing Yellowstone in the Winter. After the crowds of summer have left and a beautiful blanket of snow has covered the landscape, Yellowstone is transformed into a winter wonderland. During this workshop you'll be transported over the closed park roads in a private snowcoach. Every workshop participant will have a seat for themselves and an empty seat to store their camera gear.
This small group workshop will mainly focus on winter wildlife but will also include some great opportunities for landscapes as well. Yellowstone in the winter is likely to be one the best photography tours that you ever embark on.
This trip will be lead by world class photography instructor Mike Wardynski who puts an emphasis on high quality instruction while making the trip fun.

Winter is an excellent time of year to visit the park – with significantly less crowds, magnificent snow capped mountains and endless beauty. One sunrise shoot will include a guided snowshoe hike to Dream Lake! In the classroom, participants will receive constructive feedback on their work. They will learn how to create energy and drama in a photograph through advanced composition skills and creative image editing, while always staying true to the reality of a scene. Taking a photograph is just the first step in a large process. There's nothing better than seeing your print come to life on paper, metal or acrylic. This two part workshop will focus on print making & sales. During the first half of the workshop you'll learn print centric editing techniques, calibration, ICC profiles and more. The second portion will focus on the art of print sales and marketing. After the workshop you'll have the tools you need to confidently make the right decisions when it comes time for print. Patagonia is unlike anywhere else in the world. On this 12 day landscape photography workshop you'll photograph Argentinian and Chilean Patagonia. Starting off in El Calafate you'll have the opportunity to photograph the incredible Perito Moreno Glacier. Each day you will work with your own negatives with David in his darkroom, printing your own work. This is a hands-on intensive workshop, designed so that you leave with a strong working knowledge of the process and a foundation that will allow you to return home and continue to work with the process.
